The Island Symphony Orchestra kicks off a unique virtual master class series designed for
amateur musicians at 3:00pm, Tuesday, August 11, 2020.

The series, “Artists for Artists,” will provide an opportunity for amateur musicians to engage
with professionals, both as audience members and as lifelong learners.

Musicians and music lovers are invited to join ISO conductor, Eric Stewart, and featured guest artist,
violinist Rachell Ellen Wong, winner of the first annual Lillian and Maurice Barbash J.S. Bach Competition
and recipient of an Avery Fisher Career Grant.

The program will include a performance by Ms. Wong followed by a live Q&A. Tune in for a great half
hour of music and some valuable tips on technique and interpretation.

Said Conductor Eric Stewart, “I am excited to have an opportunity to dig deep into some great repertoire
with these incredible artists. Our “Artists for Artists” virtual master class series will be a treat for all
serious amateur musicians and music lovers.”

Additional guest artists will be presented throughout the summer and fall. For updates follow the ISO on
